New Tires for Winter and Trailer

Hanover/ Essen, June 2004. Semperit tires have always been a good choice for heavy trucks. Alongside the tried and tested models that have been around for a while, two entirely new tires for trailer and drive axles are being added this year: the M 223 Trailer and the M 431 Snow-Drive.

Semperit is now offering the M 223 Trailer as new single- fitment tire for trailers used for local and long-distance haulage. With an extra-wide tread, the two sizes

• 265/ 70 R 19.5 143/141 J und
• 385/65 R 22.5 160/- K

deliver particularly good mileage and admirably complement the existing range. Another of the product´s strengths is the uniform wear pattern, obtained by means of optimized ground pressure distribution. Drivers will also be pleased with the tire´s extremely good tracking.

Trucks fitted with the new M 431 Snow-Drive on the drive axle are ideally prepared for the upcoming winter. Thanks to the good traction and braking offered by the numerous lateral edges on this M+S-labeled tire, it affords a wide margin of safety on ice and snow. It also helps, of course, that good self-cleaning properties - attributable to the flexible rows of blocks - have been designed into the tread pattern of the new model. High mileage performance is guaranteed by the tire´s exceptional tread depth, among other things.

The M 431 is available in the following sizes

• 295/80 R 22.5 152/ 148 M
• 315/80 R 22.5 154/ 150 M (156/150 L) and
• 12 R 22.5 152/ 148 L

Another new development is in the pipeline:

• the low-profile trailer tire M 423 (in sizes 215/75 and 235/75 R 17.5)
