Semperit Charts a Safe Course Through Winter

Developing high-performing tires for road conditions that vary from snow-covered and icy to cold and dry to rain-soaked provides the engineers with a particular challenge. With the Speed-Grip 5, they have come up with a winter tire that can be relied on to master these myriad demands. Semperit's passenger car tires can be fitted to electric cars, where they extend the operating radius due to their comparatively low rolling resistance. In conventionally powered cars, the low rolling resistance reduces fuel consumption and thus CO₂emissions.

Speed-Grip 5 – the winter specialist from Semperit

The Semperit Speed-Grip 5 is designed for Alpine winters. Its tread, featuring a multitude of lateral and longitudinal sipes, offers precise handling on snow-covered routes and high levels of traction when pulling away and under braking. This winter tire uses its V-shaped grooves to drain off water and slush a long way to the side, while on dry surfaces its tread blocks deliver strong levels of grip. The specialist winter tire from Semperit is available for wheel rims from 14 to 21 inches in diameter, in widths between 165 and 275 millimeters and with aspect ratios between 70 and 40 percent. Depending on the size in question, the tires are approved for speeds of up to 270 km/h (168 mph).

AllSeason-Grip – delivering safety all year round

The AllSeason-Grip gives Semperit an all-season tire that combines short braking distances, good traction and precise cornering in both the winter and summer months. With its tire/road noise rated at a maximum 72 dB, it majors on comfort for those both inside and outside the vehicle. Semperit offers the AllSeason-Grip in a broad spread of dimensions for wheel rims between 13 and 19 inches in diameter, which means it can be fitted to numerous passenger car and SUV models.
