Drive with confidence, no matter the conditions. Snow hooks and grip edges allow superior handling in deep snow. The sipe concept positioned in various angles results in an efficient interaction with snow surfaces during acceleration and braking.
The tread pattern design helps disperse water on the road during braking and cornering. The V-shape pattern leads to an effective water and snow slush drainage for balanced stability in wet driving conditions.
Added stiffness and well-balanced structure of the shoulder blocks lead to precise handling. So, you are in control when it comes to cornering in any situation the cold season has to offer.
In the current ADAC winter tire test, the Speed-Grip 5 in the dimension 185/65 R15 was tested and obtained the overall rating "highly recommended". The tyre was tested on a VW Polo.
About our Speed-Grip 5:
Auto Bild magazine published its 2022 winter tyre super test in issue 40/2022. Our Speed-Grip 5 achieved the overall rating "good". The dimension 215/55 R17 94/98V was tested on a VW Passat.
About Speed-Grip 5:
Short braking distances and precise handling on ice and snow.
Very good aquaplaning qualities
Low rolling resistance
The wet grip rating indicates how well the tire will perform in wet conditions, with performance graded from class A down to class E. A high grade means short braking distances on wet roads.
Reduced rolling resistance saves fuel and cuts CO2 emissions. Class A tires deliver the best fuel efficiency, with fuel consumption increasing for each subsequent class through to E.
This is the external rolling noise generated by the tire, measured in decibels. The label shows the noise level rated in classes from A to C.
In addition to these three label values, there are also pictograms − if applicable − relating to performance in severe snow conditions (3PMSF) and/or grip in icy conditions (the latter applies to passenger car tires only).
With the EU label generator, you can access the specific label values for your Continental tires.
